SEG Solar Recognized as Top Performer in 2023 PVEL PV Module Reliability Scorecard
SEG Solar (SEG), a leading U.S. manufacturer of third party verified solar modules with a global reputation for performance and social responsibility, disclosed today that it has been recognized as a “Top Performer” in second consecutive year in PV Evolution Lab’s (PVEL) 2023 PV Module Reliability Scorecard, for its outstanding product reliability and performance.

PVEL is the world’s leading PV module reliability testing laboratory, which provides independent performance data for solar project developers, financiers, and asset owners and operators around the world. In 2012, PVEL launched the PQP for stringent testing of PV modules on reliability & quality parameters, that are significantly more rigorous than the IEC standards. The Product Qualification Program (PQP) tests included in the 2023 publication are Thermal Cycling, Damp Heat, Mechanical Stress Sequence, Potential-Induced Degradation (PID), LID+LETID and PAN Performance.
The enhanced test sequence yielded exceptional results, demonstrating the reliability of our components in even the harshest climates, with high temperature, humidity, and temperature differences. This reinforces SEG's rigorous standards for BOM selection and product quality. Jun Zhuge, Founder and COO of SEG, conveyed his appreciation, stating, “We are honored to have been recognized as a Top Performer by PVEL for the second consecutive year. This recognition underscores our continuous commitment to improving the quality, reliability, and efficiency of our solar modules.”
“PVEL is pleased to see SEG once again be listed as a Top Performer this year,” stated Tristan Erion-Lorico, VP of Sales and Marketing at PVEL. “It’s great to see SEG’s TOPCon modules following the trend of impressive results that we saw in their PERC modules in the 2022 Scorecard.”
SEG, established in 2016 and headquartered in Texas, has become a leading PV module brand in the United States, having supplied modules for over 2 GW of PV projects in the US market, including utility, commercial, and residential projects.
