SEG Solar Donates Solar Panels to Refuge for Women, Empowering a Brighter Future
Recently, SEG Solar (“SEG”), a leading U.S.-based PV module manufacturer, donated 10.4 kW of high-efficiency SEG solar panels to Refuge for Women in Texas. This donation will provide the organization with safer, more stable, and sustainable energy, helping improve living conditions for the women it serves.

Utilizing solar power to promote good change in the nonprofit sector, SEG continues to investigate how clean energy might benefit marginalized populations and coincide with social impact goals as part of its larger "SEG X ESG" global philanthropy program.

The solar modules are expected to generate approximately 16,120 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity annually. This will significantly reduce utility costs and ensure a reliable source of renewable energy, freeing up funds for Refuge for Women to invest in essential services like mental health counseling, housing support, legal aid, and vocational training—all of which are vital for helping women recover from trauma and start over.
Jim Wood, CEO of SEG Solar, said: “As a Texas-based solar panel manufacturer, SEG is deeply committed to giving back to our local community and supporting those in need. We’re proud to partner with Greentech Renewables, Circle L Solar, and IronRidge to bring clean, renewable energy to Refuge for Women—fulfilling our responsibility as a socially conscious company. Looking ahead, we plan to use our solar technology knowledge to promote a variety of charity causes, such as biodiversity, youth education, and women's empowerment.”
