SEG Solar Hosts Successful Open House at Houston Factory, Strengthens Installer Collaboration with Local Partners
On June 25, 2025, SEG Solar (“SEG”) successfully held an open house event at its solar module manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. Co-hosted with local PV distributor Greentech and racking system manufacturer SunModo, the event welcomed nearly 100 local installers to visit SEG’s smart factory and gain first-hand insights into the full manufacturing process—from raw materials to finished product shipment. By hosting this event, SEG provided an effective communication platform to enhance collaboration across the solar industry value chain.
Guided by Mark Czap, SEG’s VP of Distribution and Channel Sales, attendees toured key production stages at the Houston facility, including automatic tabbing and stringing, lamination, testing, and packaging. Mark offered a detailed introduction to the factory’s highly automated production layout and demonstrated SEG’s integrated MES (Manufacturing Execution System) for data management, as well as the Global R&D and Testing Center. Many installers expressed high recognition for the workshop’s clean and organized environment, the MES system’s real-time feedback capabilities, and the consistency of product quality. In-depth discussions were also held between installers and SEG’s technical staff regarding project requirements.
In the outdoor demonstration area, SEG and SunModo showcased a mock rooftop structure to demonstrate the seamless compatibility between SEG’s modules and SunModo’s racking systems, highlighting a fast and safe rooftop installation process. As a representative of local distribution, Greentech also shared practical experience in channel development and project support.
A taco food truck and an outdoor networking area were specially arranged at the event site to provide a relaxed atmosphere for attendees. The lucky draw further elevated the excitement, with several guests receiving SEG’s specially customized souvenirs for installers.
Jim Wood, CEO of SEG, commented: “Installers are a critical force in advancing clean energy adoption. This open house is not only a showcase of our technology and products, but also an important step in deepening local partnerships, listening to market feedback, and building long-term collaboration. We hope this face-to-face interaction offers installers a clear view into SEG’s manufacturing capabilities and quality assurance systems, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.”
This event strengthened mutual trust between SEG and local installers and highlighted the company’s ongoing efforts in product quality, customer collaboration, and manufacturing transparency. As demand for renewable energy continues to grow in the North American market, SEG remains committed to driving high-quality solar development through localized manufacturing and services, in close partnership with key players across the value chain.
