SEG Solar Highlights U.S. Manufacturing and Compliance Leadership at Dual RE+ Forums

Share

September 8, 2025 — SEG Solar (SEG), a leading U.S. photovoltaic module manufacturer, participated in two high-profile industry forums during RE+ 2025: an exclusive roundtable hosted by Amicus Solar and the “Solar Made in the USA” forum co-organized by Taiyang News and EUPD Research. At both events, SEG shared insights into its U.S. manufacturing strategy, technological advancements, and outlook for the 2026 market, with a focus on domestic production, FEOC compliance, and the growth of distributed solar.

Advancing Compliance to Strengthen Trust in Distributed Markets

Amicus Solar is a member-owned cooperative of local values-led independent solar energy companies with deep roots in residential and commercial solar markets across the United States. As a long-standing strategic partner, SEG Solar continues to collaborate closely with Amicus to support the expansion of decentralized energy solutions.

At the closed-door executive roundtable, SEG CEO Jim Wood highlighted the company’s progress in regulatory compliance: “We’ve already achieved over 50% alignment with OBBBA’s Non-FEOC requirements, ensuring our products meet the highest U.S. policy standards. We’re committed to increasing this share while maintaining full compliance across the board.” Wood emphasized SEG’s ongoing collaboration with U.S.-based manufacturers and distributors to deliver reliable, clean energy solutions tailored for residential and commercial customers.

To back this commitment, SEG has built a fully transparent and traceable global supply chain that meets the rigorous standards set by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) for supply chain due diligence. Through third-party audits, end-to-end documentation, and real-time monitoring via an advanced Manufacturing Execution System (MES), SEG ensures every stage of production is verifiable and accountable—providing critical confidence to channel partners navigating complex regulatory environments.

Scaling U.S. Manufacturing to Deliver a Full-Value Chain Advantage

EUPD Research, a globally recognized authority in renewable energy market analysis and brand certification, and Taiyang News, a leading international solar media platform known for its in-depth technical reporting and industry forums, jointly hosted a panel spotlighting the resurgence of American solar manufacturing.

At the event, Jim Wood outlined SEG’s long-term strategy of vertical integration and domestic manufacturing expansion. The company’s Houston facility is ramping up production, with daily module output climbing from 6,000 to nearly 8,000 units, reflecting steady gains in efficiency and operational maturity. SEG has successfully completed delivery of its first large-scale 166MW project and is currently fulfilling multiple additional utility-scale orders—demonstrating proven capacity for large-volume, on-time delivery.

“SEG is rooted in the U.S. market, and we are committed to building the clean energy infrastructure of the future,” said Jim Wood. “We will continue expanding our domestic and global manufacturing footprint to deliver stable, compliant, and high-performance solar solutions. Through innovation and strategic partnerships, SEG will lead the industry forward and accelerate America’s transition to clean energy.”
